For Jessica Drake and Joy King, it's Time To Shine at Free Speech Lobbying Days in Sacramento

LOS ANGELES CA / SACRAMENTO CA - (April 25, 2006 DMPR) - As the public outcry over soaring gas prices continues to mount, and immigration issues are hotly debated in the national media, a political discourse of a radically different stripe is quietly unfolding this week in Sacramento, California, as AVN award-winning actress JESSICA DRAKE and veteran adult industry executive JOY KING, both of Canoga Park-based WICKED PICTURES, join other carefully chosen representatives of the adult entertainment industry to visit members of the California Legislature for the 9th year in a row today, April 25th, 2006.

King, Wicked's Vice President Of Special Projects, AVN Best Actress drake, and other luminaries of erotica are taking part in CELEBRATE FREE SPEECH LOBBYING DAYS, an initiative organized by the FREE SPEECH COALITION that has become the model of mutually beneficial cooperation and education between the government and the adult industry. King and drake plan to begin their duties by joining their fellow lobbyists for a press conference that will kick off the all-day lobbying event today at 9:15 a.m., on the West Steps of the Capitol Building in Sacramento. Industry representatives from all areas of the adult business will be in attendance to answer questions and provide interviews.

In addition to these esteemed industry professionals, First Amendment attorneys and Free Speech Coalition staff, including Executive Director Michelle L. Freridge and Board Chair/attorney Jeffrey J. Douglas, will also be available to discuss important issues currently involving the adult entertainment industry, such as the proposed .xxx top-level domain name, the 2257 federal labeling laws currently being challenged by the FSC in the 10th Circuit, and the FSC challenge to the Utah Child Protection Registry, among many others.

King is justifiably proud to be once again spearheading Wicked's involvement with this worthy cause, observing, "lobbying is still the most effective way to make sure our industry's collective voice is heard. We've experienced a great deal of success over the past nine years, and the Celebrate Free Speech Lobbying Days event always provides a crucial opportunity to allow legislators to experience the adult industry in a positive, professional, and personal way."

With her thoughtful demeanor, insightful personality, and friendly, inclusive nature, one would be hard pressed to find a more ideal ambassador of adult entertainment than jessica drake. Rapidly establishing herself as a permanent fixture of mainstream Hollywood, this ambitious veteran of the cable film scene has appeared in such magazines as Premiere, Chord, and back-to-back issues of Stuff, been profiled on HBOÕs Pornucopia, done live radio interviews with heavy metal legends Anthrax, participated in a photo essay commissioned by the UN, danced on-stage with Kid Rock at the Hollywood Bowl, worked on the FOX TV series "Skin," and captured the attention of everyone from David Letterman to VH1 with her infamous Grammy Awards appearance. jessica has been photographed recently at many of LA's most posh, invitation-only events, including the Night Of A Hundred Stars last month on Oscar night.

The Free Speech Coalition is the trade organization of adult entertainment. Its mission is to safeguard the industry from oppressive governmental regulation and to promote good business practices within the industry.

Wicked Pictures is happy to once again be supporting this worthwhile endeavor in a personal, hands-on manner, and encourages all concerned citizens to raise their voices and defend everyone's First Amendment right to free speech.
